The Old Southeast Neighborhood Association has traditionally held a number of seasonal gatherings such as the summer sailboat race and cookout and a December holiday party, as well as several annual events.

OSNA Community MeetingJoin us for a community meeting on October 6th at 6pm to hear about city updates, upcoming OSNA events, and participate in discussion with your Old Southeast neighbors.

Looking to get more involved in the neighborhood? Got some great ideas on how to make Old Southeast an even better place to live? This is your chance to make your voice heard!

Stay tuned for details about our next Annual Community Yard Sale in March 2023.

Come find a variety of old and new must-haves and have fun meeting the people of Old Southeast. Because of the diverse makeup and talent of our neighbors, our Yard Sale cannot be beat for variety and style. From household items to art, buyers get great deals while being able to see the artwork that is created by some of our residents.

Old Southeast Neighborhood Cleanup

Generally on the same weekend as our Annual Neighborhood Yard Sale in March, we conduct a Trash Collection and Neighborhood Cleanup Event. OSNA arranges for a large dumpster to be situated in the neighborhood (previous location has been on Beach Drive so that palm fronds and other refuse can be cleared from Lassing Park.  Last year our volunteers collected 2.6 tons of trash from around our neighborhood and the park.

Old Southeast Neighborhood Plant Sale

A big thank you to Frances Gatz and Roger Telschow who organized and hosted the first-ever Old Southeast Plant Sale in early April 2021.  The generous duo donated over 200 potted plants, and they welcomed other plant lovers throughout Old Southeast to do the same, as they shared that all proceeds from the sale would benefit the Old Southeast Neighborhood Association.

Every year in April, neighbors of the Old Southeast Neighborhood bring their plants and cuttings to the shade-filled parking lot of The Chattaway Restaurant for the annual Plant Swap.

You will find seedlings, cuttings, and plantings donated by those in our neighborhood. Many of the beautiful landscapes around our neighborhood feature plants obtained from this free event. Bring your own and exchange for another plant cutting you like. The plant swapping is free of charge. Event will be held in The Chattaway parking area.

Our Annual Easter Egg Hunt is a hit with the kids… and their parents. Leading up to Easter Sunday, a group of volunteers hides hundreds of plastic Easter Eggs in Lassing Park. This year's event will take place on Saturday, April 16, 2022.

OSNA Summer SocialEvery June OSNA celebrates the kick-off of Summer with a Summer Social. All neighbors are invited to attend. Is a great opportunity to meet your neighbors, talk with OSNA board members, meet our community Police Officers, K9 units, Fire Fighters and more. Please bring food to share as this will be the center attraction.

Old Southeast Neighborhood Artist Enclave

On Saturday, October, 22, 2022, OSNA will be sponsoring the Old Southeast Artist Enclave Tour from 10am-4pm!  Come see why the City of St. Petersburg named our Old Southeast neighborhood an official Artist Enclave where artists can create and market their arts or crafts!

After the walk, there will be socializing, donuts and drinks. Each year, we host a Lantern Walk. The walk begins at the Bayboro House located at 1719 Beach Drive SE, St. Petersburg, FL. We walk a few blocks around the neighborhood and then return to Beach Drive for donuts and socializing.

The celebration of volunteering and giving back to the community is a Fall Tradition in the Old Southeast Neighborhood. Community members are invited to participate in local CareFest projects.

Old Southeast Neighborhood Holiday Party

The Old Southeast Neighborhood Holiday Party is one annual event you do not want to miss. Traditionally held on the second Saturday of December, hundreds of neighbors mix and mingle at this holiday hootenanny featuring a potluck dinner, a deejay and dancing, a raffle, and an appearance by the man in red himself - Kris Kringle.

For three years OSNA has put on a new event in December –– the Holiday Golf Cart Parade Extravaganza. Influenced by the desire to spread holiday cheer amid lockdown measures during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Holiday Golf Cart Parade Extravaganza has become a popular way to celebrate outdoors. Fun, quirky, decorated carts spirit Santa’s wagon around the neighborhood spreading holiday cheer and children’s treats.

OSNA plans to bring back the parade, party, and Golf Cart Decorating Contest in 2023.

SAVE THE DATE DEC. 9, 2023

Santa’s helpers are still tinkering with the final festive details, but we guarantee fun for all! Stay tuned for more information about the 2023 Holiday Golf Cart Parade Extravaganza later this year.

2022 Recap

In 2022, OSNA added a Party in the Park following the Golf Cart Parade in Lassing Park. More than 200 OSE locals gathered for food, drinks, photos with Santa, kids’ activities, and more! OSNA also collected many items in donations for Toys for Tots. This event would not have been possible without the volunteer work of our neighbors, and OSNA urges more folks to get involved in 2023 to keep the new tradition alive and merry!

Check out some of the highlights from the party below and the winners of the Golf Cart Decorating Contest.
